چکیده
Abstract The purification of the primary treated domestic sewage was performed in present study through horizontal sub-surface flow constructed wetland (CW) 10 × 3.5 m dimension. using three setups CW 1 (Unplanted CW), 2 (CW planted with macrophyte Typha latifolia ), and 3 two species T. Commelina benghalensis ). experiments were by converting one type into other form sequentially, i.e., built first after experiments, it converted then 3. filled a layer coarse fine gravel 70 cm depth as filter media 1:2 ratio. Each set operated for months (12 wk) during which treatment performance wetlands basic physicochemical parameters evaluated. continuous mode at an average hydraulic loading rate 250 L h ? effluent analysed twice every week four different sampling points having retention times (HRT) 12, 24, 36 48 important quality All able to clean significantly. Wastewater Treatment Using Horizontal Subsurface Flow Constructed Wetland
The last few decades witnessed sharp focus on environment pollution and its impact on life in nature. Wetlands can be used for biological treatment of wastewater. Problem statement: Scarcity of water is considered as a global problem and Iran is one the countries which is facing water shortage problem. Pollution of water bodies restrict the availability of water for various uses. Treatment of w...

Background: Constructed wetlands are systems designed based on the utilization of natural processes, including vegetation, soil, and their associated microbial assemblage to assist in treating different types of wastewater. Methods: Two local Appalachian plants (Louis latifolia and Phragmites australis) were planted into smallscale constructed wetlands to treat domestic wastewater in the North ...

Water is one of the most important elements involved in the creation and development of healthy life. Haphazard disposal of untreated wastewater from households as well as institutions and industry is causing severe deterioration of water bodies in many urban areas in the developing world. There are several methods to treat the municipal wastewater for intended use. One of the methods of the tr...

background: selection of different wastewater treatment methods depends on the kind of wastewater, geographical position of the community, quantity and quality of wastewater and effluent, technology and finance. natural wastewater treatment methods are simple, cheap and acceptable for developing countries specially small and remote countries and wetland is one of these methods. wetlands include...
متن کاملAnammox enrichment and constructed wetland inoculation for improvement of wastewater treatment performance
This study contributes to the improvement of low-cost biotechnology for wastewater treatment in constructed wetlands (CWs). Constructed wetlands are energy efficient engineered systems that mimic the treatment processes of natural wetlands, removing polluting organic matter, nutrients, and pathogens from water. The aim of this study was to investigate the advisability of the inoculation of hori...
